Demo Day in the USC GamePipe Laboratory is Tuesday the 15th of December 2009 in the USC GamePipe Laboratory Tutor Hall 321.

Game Demos

  1. 9:40am - Light Saber Force (PC, GGE) - Light Saber Force is a game based in the Star Wars Universe demonstrating the functionality of USC’s GamePipe Game Engine. LSF demonstrates GGEs abilities for Flash based GUIs (ala Scaleform), Havok Physics and Collision, input from controllers such as Xbox 360 wireless controller, advanced rendering techniques such as compositor effect and bloom effects, and FMOD audio.

  2. 10:00am - Dangerous Waters (PC, XNA) - a serious training game for modern piracy.

  3. 10:20am - Welcome to Mayhem (XNA) - a crush the buildings classic.

  4. 10:40am - The Garden of Life (XNA) - The Garden of Life is a 3rd person Action/Puzzle game. Through the game, the player must progress through fantastical floating islands by planting trees which create creatures. The player must maintain a balance between the creatures or else they may turn against him. It's a chaotic world. Can you make your way through The Garden of Life?

  5. 11:00am - Backwards (XNA) - sometimes the easiest way to go back is to die.

  6. 11:20am - Fowl Play (USC GamePipe Alum at Happynin Games, iPhone)

  7. 11:40am - Cosmopolis (XNA) - an online game for behavioral model testing.

  8. 12:00pm - DynoTron (iPhone) - Blast away meteors to the beat in the iPhone's 1st music sh'mup.

  9. 12:20pm - Sketched! (XNA) - draw your way out of it!

  10. 12:40pm - Brief Break

  11. 1:15pm - Arkane (PC, DirectX) -  a beautifully lit game reminiscent of Marathon. Pyengine2.0 3D Game Engine Technical Demo.

  12. 1:40pm - Rooster Shooter (iPhone) - classic rooster shooter!

  13. 1:50pm - DirtWheels (iPhone) - iPhone racer.

  14. 2:00pm - Holi Cow (iPhone) - water balloons & skateboards!

  15. 2:10pm - Diffuse (iPhone) - see the diffusers right or die!

  16. 2:20pm - Oh Hell! (iPhone) - a multiplayer game of chance.

  17. 2:30pm - Runic Chain (iPhone) - colored tiles to chain & progress.

  18. 2:40pm - Poggle (iPhone) - flick the multi-player cat!

  19. 2:50pm - Trainer (Flash) - gives Players the responsibility of caring for creatures who have dietary & fitness needs - creating the opportunity for experimental learning that provides insight into how nutrition & fitness impact everyday life while removing many of the stigmas surrounding diet & exercise.

  20. 3:05pm - Healthy Eats (iPhone) - an iPhone application that simultaneously quizzes & suggests food options to users within their local area.

  21. 3:20pm - Germ Wars - a simple yet multifaceted gameplay experience that allows players to experience the wonder and complexity of the immune system from the macro to micro level. 

  22. 3:40pm - Suits (Flash, Facebook) - James Bond as business mogul.

  23. 4:00pm - Done!

Demo Day for Fall 2009 is Tuesday the 15th of December 9:30am to 2pm
