PetPal™

PetPal™ is a sensor-based game built to encourage personal fitness. The play wears a sensor that tracks the cardio done by the wearer today. When the wearer uploads that health vector by bluetooth to their personal mobile phone, their virtual pet, in this case a dog, becomes healthier. The project was funded by the Humana Innovation Laboratory. An iPhone version, PetPal2™, is currently under development. The USC GamePipe Laboratory has filed a US patent on this, Application Serial No. 12/256,679, System for Encouraging a User to Perform Substantial Physical Activity. USC Ref 09-076.

This demo is from 20 Oct 2008.
