Advanced Game Projects Fall 2017 - Spring 2018

Seven advanced games projects have been selected for CSCI-529A & B for Fall 2017 & Spring 2018. The games selected are the following:

  • Fan the Cannon
  • Friendshrimp
  • Knight Errant
  • Supernova
  • Unfolded
  • Wavebent

CS Games Fall Semester Orientation

The USC GamePipe Laboratory is holding an orientation session for incoming MS in CS Game Development students, followed by a mixer. The event will be hosted at EGG building, on Friday (8/25), starting at 5:30. Food will also be available at the end of the event.

The orientation is geared towards incoming CS Game Students, but we also welcome students in general program curious about CS Games.

For current students or alumni, we welcome you to join us at the mixer around 6:30.

Fall 2017 - CSCI-426 Game Prototyping

The Computer Science Games & Game Development degree programs have a new course CSCI-426 Game Prototyping!

The course is taught by Scott Easley & Dan Arey.

This is an advanced course covering the process of Game Prototyping. Computer Science students will learn modern skills (Design/Engineering/Production) for developing sophisticated games rapidly from concept to finished prototype.

If you are interested in bringing your game idea and team to a class where you can actually build it, this is the course for you!

This course is THE BEST preparation for creating a game design and prototype for submission to the advanced games process!
