Victor LaCour is a filmmaker and developer/designer working in gaming, multimedia, and immersive technologies. He currently serves as Associate Director and Creative Director for the Viterbi School of Engineering'sGAMEPIPE LABS, Where he focuses on research & education for the future of interactive games. He was involved in creating and teaching 2 new game development degree programs, the Bachelors in Computer Science (Games) and the Masters in Computer Science (Game Development). He also owns and operates CHIZURU INTERACTIVE, a multimedia company focusing on CDROM and GAMING development and consultation.

PROJECT LIGHT
A 6 hour interactive CD-ROM game that entertains and educates kids and young adults alike on how to protect themselves from HIV and other STD's. Developed for the National Institute for Mental Health.
The game is utilized in different classes throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Academic application that allows students to create full multimedia arguments using pictures, sounds, movies, and text which can be published into a fully searchable database.

Currently the application is implimented in classrooms at the Univeristy of Southern California and Emerson College in Boston, Mass.


Money Sim

An educational simulation game that allows users to play out different life based and financial based scenarios. The game quickly enables understanding on how different events and products can potentially help or hurt their financial futures.

 



Chojo:
Chojo is a immersive mobile platform that allows people to use their PDA to engage and interact with both 2d and 3d immersive games and environments. The platform is a server based real-time massive multiplayer system that allows both 2d and 3d views. This platform allows people to engage in social gaming, emergence type scenarios, and competition based play. The current game developed in this platform allows students on the USC campus to plant various types of virtual plants and watch them grow, mutate, and interact with other plants over time.
