MONTEREY (mz) -- Many people have been asking me about the USC Institute for Creative Technologies (ICT) and its status. I drafted the operating plan and research agenda for ICT as an Army-sponsored university advanced research center (UARC). I drafted that plan for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Technology. At that time, the working name for ICT was "The Institute for Collaborative Environment Studies (ICES)". The prose version of the plan is here and the Powerpoint presentation on that plan is here. The position description for the Executive Director is here.
The Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Technology chose USC for the UARC. The web location for the new institute is here. The Executive Director USC has chosen for ICT is Dick Lindheim, a former entertainment industry business executive.
We wish the USC ICT people success in their virtual environment and computer graphics research endeavors!
