Notice on which web pages must be built by each group & student in the class
FROM EACH GROUP
1. Each Group must build and maintain a project web page that contains:
a. Game Name, Game Goal & Game Play Description.
b. Group members list - Name & Picture of each Group Member. List of responsibilities for each member. Pointer to personal web page for each member.
c. Group Plans - I want a projection as to what each group will accomplish EACH WEEK from now until the end of the semester. Start by listing and dating the current status of your group's game.
FROM EACH INDIVIDUAL
1. Name & Picture web page with brief personal bio (degrees, degree status - when do you graduate).
2. Your list of game responsibilities.
3. A diary of your weekly progress in building your group's game - tell me what you have accomplished each week.
4. Individual plans for your Group's game from now until the end of the semester.
5. Material EA would like - list major programming projects you have completed as part of your degree program here at USC. List your role in those projects.
NOTES
1. The reason for putting this together is to get you used to making plans for what you will accomplish weekly in building your group's game. It is also an excellent exercise in timekeeping for this project. I am trying to make sure that no individual is slacking AND that no group is trying to build everything at the last minute.
2. Also, game industry executives are asking me to make recommendations as to who they should provide internships and jobs. So me having your picture and name and a list of your work will be greatly helpful towards that goal.
3. You should think about my example of Stuart Cheshire, the creator of Bolo. He created that game in class and posted for free onto the net. He became quite well-known around the world from that. Imagine if your game could achieve that level of recognition!
4. Poster - by the end of the semester, I expect fully developed web pages and game executables on those web pages. Also, I want a Poster from each group. Think how cool it would be if we had a poster showing off your game hanging in the lab!
5. Video - also required by the end of the term - a short video showing off your game and some excellent bitmaps that I can use in presentations to show off what our students are capable of building.
